Guava Liquer:.

20 Firm guavas
8 Cups water
1/4Cup fresh limejuice
2 cups White rum
Sugar to taste

Wash and cut guavas.
Put water, lime juice and guavas to
boil in a saucepan and boil until all the
flavour is extracted from guava.
Strain the mixture and sweeten to taste.
Return guava liquid to saucepan and boil
until it begins to thicken. Allow mixture to cool, then add rum and bottle. Let stand for about one week before serving on cracked ice and a little grated nutmeg.
