Cecilia Joseph a.k.a Satia and Mamma of La Taste, St. Patrick's, died on October 25, 2010 after a brief illness at the age of 79.
She left to mourn her 9 children, Elizabeth a.k.a Seraphine, Linsley, Maria, Margaret a.k.a Cynthia, and Doreen in the US. Yvette in Canada, Lawrence a.k.a Barbay and Lydia in Grenada. Sherron in the UK.
34 Grand children including Stephanie, Annisha, Arrisha, Melissa, Kassandra, Brandon, Deron and Stephan in the US. Bernell, Kerry, Travis, Floyd, Gelani,Michelle, Naian, Adrine, Adriya, Shenade, Lauren, Lennon, Louanna and Leandre in Grenada. Karen, Jonsaba, Keverne, Miguel and Kawsu in Canada and 6 in the UK.
13 Great-Grand including Chanelle in the US, Kaliayah and Cameron in Canada, Kerrisha, Renee, Renatta, Jochim, Moesha, Akim, Starron and Rayshaun in Grenada.
2 Brothers Benedict a.k.a Uncle Ben, in Grenada and Ronald in California.
7 Sisters. Decima a.k.a Deci, in Grenada, Agnita in Trinidad, Marilyn and Gertrude in US, Maria, Ann and Little in the UK.
1 sister-in-law Olive in Grenada.
1 Daughter-in-law Ann in Grenada.
1 Son-in-law Iron in the US.
2 Uncles. Esmond Campbell in Trinidad and Norril in Grenada.
Several nieces and nephews in the UK, US, Trinidad and Grenada.
Her dear neighbors, The Lessey Family,Merle and Family, Velda and Mckenzie George, Ms. Edna, Cousin Laurel, Ms. Inez, Shirley,Yvette Toussaint, Cousin Mami and family of Hermitage,and Teresa Buddy in the U.S. and Joyce Noel in Canada. Many other relatives and friends of La Taste, River Sallee, New York, UK, US and Trinidad.
She is gone but her spirit lives on in her children and grand children. She lived a good life and is now resting in Jesus waiting for that great day when the dead in Christ will rise and all of us who are ready will live with Him forever more. Until that day Mama REST IN PEACE.

Funeral of the late Cecilia Joseph will take place on November 11, 2010 at the River Sallee R.C. Church and interment at the River Sallee cemetery.

Satia will be greatly missed. My sympathies go out to you guys. She will be remembered as someone who helped break the generation gap in the communities of La taste and River Sallee. Was able to relate to everyone in a positive way. Was always respected. I remember the Sunday mornings on her way to church, with her big broad smile, cautioned we the La Taste boys to follow her to church. LONG LIVE THE JOY AND PASSION THAT YOU SHARE WITH EVERYONE.
