On Jan. 12, 2002 I was invited to a party at a friend's
place in NY (Bev Nyack). The party was rocking and I had a real ball
(boy, Soca to kill). At the end of the evening I realized that many of the people
present (mostly Grenadians) did not know when or where the next big
jam/house party was going to be. That's when the idea came to me to
develop a Web site to connect the entire posse and bring everybody closer
together. Sooo, I went to work, introduced the
idea to a few of my homies (Nikki, Jasmine, Marcia, Derek) and they all
thought it was a great idea.
About one month later, the name came to me. Then I started
thinking about the design. I knew I wanted something unique, just
like the Grenadian people, and out of the blue, it just jumped right
out at me one night and I nailed it.
I hope this site will help to remind those of us who are
away from home just what it means to be a Grenadian, and take us back to
our roots. For those who aren't Grenadians, take this opportunity to learn
what it's like to come from one of the greatest places in this world.
One love!
